11-9 months before the wedding it’s time to hire your vendors

Book DJ or band

A good wedding needs great music. Whether that’s a DJ playing the very best dance songs of the last few decades or a jazz band creating a classy ambience, this is the time to choose. We’ve worked with many great singers, bands and DJs and seen how they complete a wedding day.

Book your caterers

You need plenty of time to check caterer availability. In the past, we’ve added our pagoda marquees as a separate tent for caterers. Consider where your caterers should be serving food during the day. Is it accessible? Is there enough space for queues? Is there an electrical or gas hookup for cookers? Your venue can answer these questions.

Book a stellar photographer

Your wedding day is one you will remember forever, but you’ll still need someone to capture those perfect moments. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to check out some photographers’ work before you decide. Once decided, you should have a pre-wedding photoshoot. This is a great opportunity to get to know your photographer.

Make your flower order with your florist

Don’t leave your flower order until the last minute! You will have your heart set on flowers and do not want to be heartbroken by having to get the last options. In the past, we’ve added floral decorations around our marquees. Flowers don’t just have to be on the tables!
